Day 1 – Arrival in Sanur (Welcome to Bali)

Hallo Apa kabar! Welcome to the Island of the Gods.

Upon arrival at the hotel, you will meet your Tour Leader, who will warmly welcome you and provide a briefing about the tour itinerary, travel arrangements, and important information for the upcoming journey.

In the evening, join your fellow travellers for a welcome meeting at 6 pm. The meeting will be in the hotel lobby area, where your Tour Leader will introduce the exciting journey ahead, provide useful travel information, and answer any questions before your Bali adventure begins.

The remainder of the evening is yours to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Sanur.

Day 2 – Sanur – Lovina

After breakfast, we begin our journey through Bali’s beautiful central highlands towards the island’s peaceful northern coast.

Our first stop is the fascinating Ogoh-Ogoh Museum, where you will discover Bali’s annual Nyepi (Day of Silence) celebrations. These colourful and fantastic sculptures represent evil spirits and showcase the island’s extraordinary creativity and spiritual traditions.

Next, experience the lively atmosphere of a traditional Balinese market, where local vendors sell the canang sari for offerings, flowers, and spices. This is a wonderful opportunity to observe daily life and interact with local people.

We then continue to the breathtaking Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its endless emerald-green landscape and the ancient Subak irrigation system that has sustained Balinese agriculture for centuries.

Our final stop is the iconic Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, one of Bali’s most photographed landmarks. Situated on the shores of Lake Beratan and surrounded by cool mountain scenery, this beautiful water temple appears to float on the lake, creating one of Bali’s most spectacular views.

Arrive in Lovina during the afternoon, where the remainder of the day is free to relax by the beach or enjoy the hotel’s facilities.

Day 3 – Lovina (Free Day)

Today is yours to enjoy at your own pace.

Choose from a range of exciting optional activities:

  • Snorkelling among colourful coral reefs
  • Scuba diving in the calm waters of North Bali
  • Trekking to the beautiful Munduk Waterfall, surrounded by lush rainforest, coffee and clove plantations

Alternatively, relax by the beach or enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Lovina.

Day 4 – Lovina – Bulian Village – Kintamani

Today offers one of the most authentic cultural experiences of your journey.

Travel to Bulian Village, where you will be warmly welcomed by the local community.

Enjoy a delicious traditional Balinese lunch made with fresh local ingredients before experiencing an enchanting Balinese cultural performance by village residents.

Learn how to create your own Canang Sari, the beautiful daily offerings that are an important part of Balinese Hindu life.

You will also have the opportunity to dress in traditional Balinese costume, providing a unique cultural experience and wonderful photo opportunities.

In the afternoon, continue to the cool mountain region of Kintamani, overlooking the spectacular Mount Batur and Lake Batur.

Day 5 – Kintamani – Ubud

Early risers may choose to join the optional Mount Batur Sunrise Trek, one of Bali’s rewarding hiking experiences. Reach the summit in time to witness an unforgettable sunrise over Bali’s volcanic landscape.

After breakfast, we will continue towards Ubud, the island’s cultural and artistic heart.

Along the way, visits include:

  • A traditional Spice Garden, where you’ll discover Bali’s aromatic herbs and spices
  • A local Coffee Plantation, where you can learn about coffee production and sample a variety of locally grown coffees and herbal teas.
  • Tampaksiring, home to the sacred Tirta Empul Holy Spring Temple

Arrive in Ubud and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 6 – Ubud (Free Day)

Enjoy a full day exploring Ubud at your own pace.

Optional experiences include:

  • Visiting the vibrant Ubud Art Market
  • Exploring the famous Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary
  • Joining a hands-on Balinese Cooking Class
  • Relaxing with a traditional Yoga Class
  • Discovering Ubud’s cafés, art galleries and boutique shops

Day 7 – Ubud – Candidasa

Travel towards the peaceful east coast of Bali.

Optional cultural experiences include:

  • Watching the spectacular Keris & Barong Dance
  • Exploring Kerta Gosa, the historic Hall of Justice of the Klungkung Kingdom
  • Visiting the sacred Goa Lawah (Bat Cave Temple), one of Bali’s most important pilgrimage sites.

Continue to the seaside town of Candidasa.

Day 8 – Candidasa (Free Day)

Enjoy another relaxing day with a choice of optional excursions.

Visit Tenganan Village, home to the indigenous Bali Aga people who preserve centuries-old traditions.

Explore the beautiful Tirta Gangga Royal Water Palace, famous for its elegant fountains, ponds and tropical gardens.

Spend the afternoon relaxing at Virgin Beach (White Sand Beach), one of Bali’s hidden coastal gems.

This evening, join your fellow travellers for a special Farewell Dinner, celebrating the completion of your Classic Bali or Classic Java & Bali Combo adventure. We also warmly welcome guests joining the next stage of the journey to Lombok.

Day 9 – Departure / Continue to Lombok

After breakfast, your Classic Bali Tour comes to an end.

For travellers continuing on the Lombok Adventure, transfer to the harbour for the next exciting chapter of your Indonesian journey.

Day 10 – Candidasa (Bali) – Tete Batu, Lombok

Welcome to Lombok!

After breakfast, we leave Bali and travel by fast boat across the Lombok Strait to the beautiful island of Lombok. Upon arrival, we continue to the peaceful village of Tete Batu, located on the southern slopes of the magnificent Mount Rinjani National Park.

Surrounded by rice terraces, tropical forest, and traditional villages, Tete Batu is one of Lombok’s most picturesque destinations and offers a wonderful introduction to authentic island life.

Spend the remainder of the afternoon relaxing in the cool mountain air while enjoying the tranquil surroundings.

Day 11 – Tete Batu Countryside Walk – Benang Stokel & Benang Kelambu Waterfalls – Kuta Mandalika

After breakfast, begin the day with a guided Tete Batu, one of Lombok’s most authentic rural experiences. Stroll through lush rice terraces, tropical plantations, and peaceful villages while enjoying breathtaking views of Mount Rinjani. Along the way, meet local farmers, learn about traditional agriculture, and experience the warm hospitality of the Sasak community.

Following lunch at the local restaurant, we continue our journey to the spectacular Benang Stokel and Benang Kelambu Waterfalls, hidden within the tropical rainforest at the foot of Mount Rinjani.

Benang Stokel Waterfall features two impressive cascades flowing into a crystal-clear natural pool, while nearby Benang Kelambu Waterfall is famous for its unique curtain-like streams that gently flow over lush green cliffs, creating one of Lombok’s most beautiful natural landscapes.

After exploring the waterfalls, we continue south to the beautiful coastal town of Kuta Mandalika, renowned for its pristine white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, and relaxed atmosphere.

Day 12 – Kuta Lombok (Free Day)

Today is yours to enjoy at your own pace.

Relax by the beach or join an optional Island Beach Hoping Tour, visiting some of southern Lombok’s most spectacular beaches, including hidden bays, turquoise waters and dramatic coastal cliffs.

Whether swimming, sunbathing or simply enjoying the breathtaking scenery, today is all about embracing the relaxed island lifestyle.

Overnight: Kuta Lombok

Day 13 – Kuta Lombok – Traditional Market – Sasak Ende Village – Senggigi

This morning, we travel towards Lombok’s west coast and leave the beautiful beaches of Kuta Mandalika.

Our first stop is a Traditional local market, where you can experience the vibrant atmosphere of everyday life in Lombok. Wander through colourful stalls filled with tropical fruits, fresh vegetables, aromatic spices, local snacks and handcrafted products while interacting with friendly local vendors.

We then continue to Ende Traditional Sasak Village, one of the best places to learn about the culture and traditions of the indigenous Sasak people, Lombok’s largest ethnic group.  During your visit, discover local woven bamboo houses, observe local weaving demonstrations, and gain insight into customs and lifestyles that have been preserved for generations.

We continue our scenic drive along Lombok’s coastline to the charming seaside resort of Senggigi, where the remainder of the afternoon is free for you to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Day 14 – Senggigi – Gili Trawangan

After breakfast, board a local boat to the tropical island paradise of Gili Trawangan, famous for its white sandy beaches, turquoise waters and vibrant island atmosphere.

Upon arrival, the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy.

For those wishing to explore the underwater world, an Optional snorkelling excursion offers the chance to swim among colourful coral reefs, tropical fish and, if you’re lucky, sea turtles.

Spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach, cycling around the island or watching the sunset over neighbouring Bali.

Overnight: Gili Trawangan

Day 15 – Gili Trawangan (Free Day)

Wake up to another beautiful day in paradise.

With no motorised vehicles on the island, Gili Trawangan is the perfect place to unwind.

Spend the day swimming, snorkelling, cycling, enjoying beach cafés or simply relaxing beneath the palm trees while soaking up the island’s unique atmosphere.

This is your opportunity to truly embrace the laid-back lifestyle that makes the Gilis Islands one of Indonesia’s most loved destinations.

Overnight: Gili Trawangan

Day 16 Gili Trawangan – Sanur, Bali

After breakfast, depart Gili Trawangan by fast boat and return to Sanur, Bali.

This evening, join your fellow travellers for a memorable Farewell Dinner, celebrating an incredible journey through Java, Bali and Lombok. Share stories, photos and unforgettable memories while enjoying your final evening together.

Day 17 – Departure

After breakfast, your Classic Lombok Tour comes to an end.
