Starting his career as an overland tour guide, Ajat had the opportunity to travel extensively across Indonesia while accompanying international backpackers and independent travellers.
Those early years were more than simply guiding tours. They became a valuable learning experience.
Travelling with backpackers from different countries gave him a deeper understanding of what international travellers really want when exploring Indonesia – not only beautiful destinations, but also authentic local experiences, cultural interaction, adventure, flexibility, good value, and genuine connections with local communities.
Over the years, Ajat continued to develop his career by working with several established travel agencies and gaining extensive experience in tour operation, itinerary planning, guiding, transportation, accommodation, customer service, and international traveller management.
After years of experience in the field, he decided to take the next step.
To build a travel company of his own.
And that vision became Flamingo Indonesia.
