Then it’s time to relax and get ready for the adventure ahead.

City Streets, Local Crafts & Angklung

Today we leave Jakarta behind and head towards Bandung, the creative and cultural heart of West Java.

Explore Bandung’s Zero-Kilometre area and discover some of the city’s local character before experiencing one of West Java’s most fascinating traditional arts.

Meet local craftsmen and discover the art of making Wayang Golek, the beautifully carved wooden puppets traditionally used in Sundanese performances.

Later, experience the unique sound of Angklung at Saung Angklung Udjo, where traditional bamboo instruments come alive through music and performance.

A great introduction to the creativity, culture and people of West Java.

Overnight: Bandung

Tea Plantations, Volcanoes & Mud Bathing

Time to escape the city and head into the spectacular highlands surrounding Bandung.

Enjoy panoramic views from a scenic viewpoint, then continue through the lush countryside and tea plantations.

Our next stop is Kawah Putih, the famous turquoise volcanic crater surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery.

Then things get a little more adventurous.

Head to Kawah Rengganis and experience a natural volcanic mud and hot-spring bathing area.

Bring your adventurous spirit — and don’t worry about getting muddy!

From the City to Village Life

Today we leave West Java behind by morning train and continue our journey towards Yogyakarta and the beautiful countryside of Nglageran.

But tonight isn’t about checking into another standard hotel.

We’ll stay in a local village homestay, giving you the chance to experience everyday Indonesian life, meet local families and enjoy a more authentic side of Java.

Tonight, sit down together for a traditional local dinner, relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of village life.

Ancient Volcano, Village Life & Prambanan Temple

Wake up to the peaceful sounds of rural Java.

After breakfast, it’s time for an adventure.

Trek Gunung Api Purba, an ancient volcanic landscape offering spectacular views across the surrounding countryside.

Continue exploring Nglageran Village, including Embung Nglageran, a beautiful lake surrounded by green hills.

After lunch, we head towards one of Indonesia’s most spectacular ancient monuments:

Prambanan Temple

Explore this magnificent Hindu temple complex and discover the fascinating history and legends behind one of Java’s most iconic landmarks.

Discover Borobudur

Today brings one of the highlights of your Java adventure.

Visit Borobudur Temple, one of Indonesia’s most extraordinary cultural treasures.

Take your time to explore its impressive architecture, Buddhist reliefs and surrounding landscape while learning about the history and spiritual significance of this remarkable site.

Afterwards, return to Yogyakarta and enjoy some free time to explore the city at your own pace.

Cycle, Create & Discover

Today is all about experiencing Yogyakarta beyond the main tourist attractions.

Enjoy some free time, or join our optional Bantul Village Cycling experience and explore the countryside on two wheels.

Ride through local villages, rice fields and traditional communities before returning towards the city.

Later, explore Yogyakarta by becak, the city’s traditional three-wheeled cycle rickshaw.

Discover the world of batik by visiting a local home-based batik workshop and see how this iconic Indonesian textile is created.

Continue to the Sultan’s Palace (Keraton) and Taman Sari, the historic royal water palace.

Finish with a visit to a local leather puppet maker, discovering another traditional Javanese craft.

Road Trip Through Java

Today is a travel day as we journey eastwards towards one of Indonesia’s most famous volcanic landscapes.

Sit back, enjoy the scenery and watch Java’s landscapes change as we travel from Central Java towards East Java.

Arrive in the Bromo area, settle into your accommodation and get ready for tomorrow’s early-morning adventure.

Sunrise, Volcanoes & The Southern Coast

It’s an early start — but absolutely worth it!

Experience the spectacular Bromo sunrise and watch the volcanic landscape slowly come alive as the sun rises over East Java.

After exploring the Bromo area, continue our journey towards Red Island (Pulau Merah) on Java’s southern coast.

Swap volcanic landscapes for tropical beaches and settle into a more relaxed coastal atmosphere.

Surf, Sand & Good Vibes

Today is all about enjoying the coast.

Whether you’re already a surfer or have never stood on a board before, this is your chance to experience one of Java’s famous surfing destinations.

Learn the basics, get into the water and have some fun.

Don’t worry if your first attempt ends with you falling off the board — that’s part of the experience!

Spend the rest of the day relaxing on the beach, exploring the area or simply enjoying the tropical atmosphere.

Our Java adventure continues towards Pemuteran, a laid-back coastal village in north-west Bali.

Enjoy the journey as we travel from East Java towards Bali.

Arrive in Pemuteran and spend the afternoon at leisure.

Take a swim, relax by the beach, explore the village or simply slow down and enjoy the tropical surroundings.

Check into your hotel and take some time to settle in, relax or explore the neighbourhood.

We’ll introduce the journey ahead, share some useful local tips and get to know the people you’ll be travelling with.

Then enjoy your first evening in Bali.

Rice Terraces, Mountain Views & Lake Bratan

Today we leave the busy south behind and head into the cooler, greener landscapes of central Bali.

Our first stop is Jatiluwih, a spectacular UNESCO-listed cultural landscape famous for its endless rice terraces.

Take a walk, enjoy the views and discover how Balinese communities have shaped these incredible landscapes over generations.

Continue towards Lake Bratan and visit the iconic Ulun Danu Bratan Temple, beautifully positioned on the lake and surrounded by mountains.

Later, continue north to Lovina.

The afternoon is yours.

Relax by the pool, explore the area or simply slow down and enjoy the quieter side of Bali.

Sekumpul & Fiji Waterfalls

Today we’re going off the beaten track.

Head into the lush northern mountains to discover the spectacular Sekumpul and Fiji Waterfalls.

Trek through tropical landscapes, village paths and green valleys as we make our way towards some of Bali’s most impressive waterfalls.

Expect a little effort, plenty of fresh air and some seriously rewarding views.

This is Bali at its wildest.

Bring your swimming gear — you may want to cool off!

Overnight: Lovina

Meet the Locals. Dress Like a Balinese. Live the Culture.

Today is all about experiencing Bali through its people.

Visit Bulian Village, where you’ll get a chance to connect with local life and experience traditional Balinese culture.

Learn how to make Canang Sari, the colourful daily offerings found throughout Bali.

Then try on traditional Balinese clothing and visit the village temple, where you’ll learn more about local customs and traditions.

Afterwards, enjoy a delicious local lunch followed by a traditional Balinese dance performance.

It’s more than sightseeing — it’s a chance to participate, meet local people and experience Balinese culture from the inside.

Later, continue into the mountains towards Kintamani.

Early risers have the option to join an unforgettable Mount Batur Sunrise Experience.

Arrive in Candidasa and enjoy a relaxed afternoon.

Take a swim, walk along the coast or simply enjoy the slower pace of island life.

Welcome to Island Life

Today we leave Bali behind and head towards the Gili Islands.

Travel by boat to Gili Trawangan, one of Indonesia’s most famous tropical islands.

Once you’ve arrived, it’s time to switch into island mode.

Enjoy an optional snorkelling experience and discover the colourful underwater world surrounding the Gilis.

Later, enjoy a free afternoon.

Swim, cycle around the island, relax on the beach or simply watch the sunset.

Island Vibes & Farewell Night

Today is all about enjoying Gili Trawangan your way.

There are no fixed plans.

Spend the day swimming, cycling, relaxing on the beach, exploring the island or simply doing absolutely nothing.

As evening arrives, get ready for our final night together.

Raise a glass with your new travel friends, share stories from the journey and celebrate everything you’ve experienced together.

Then, if you feel like continuing the night, enjoy the famous Gili Trawangan nightlife.
